We welcome Principal Mauri Friestleben of North High School in Minneapolis to the podcast. Mauri is perhaps best known as the Principal featured in the acclaimed documentary about Lucy Laney Elementary School, “Love Them First”. The crew dives deep with Mauri, exploring some of the harder questions such as education equality and overcoming obstacles inherent in disadvantaged communities. What are concrete steps we can take as a community to not only level the playing field, but provide each child with the love, attention and confidence they deserve?
